I used a slightly different path to find the WinFileCache#####.dat file.

If you get this problem, it is simply a matter of finding the above file and deleting it.

Here is the path I used – C:/users/ownernamehere/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/Configuration

but little bit different with your given step. step no 4 to 5.

I have to edit the boot.ini on another computer first before I can continuing the installation.

now I’m installing the driver from mydellmini.com

Thanks for the fix! I found my dat file under:
C:\Users\Elliot\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration

Thanks, problem solved. Naomi – just remove the WinFileCachexxxx.dat file, whatever the numbers are.

I found a WinfileCache#####.dat file in a different directory… I deleted it and the problem was solved.

Say, you’re logged on as Owner… then u’d go to C:Documents and Settings/Owner/Application Data/Adobe/DreamweaverCS4/en_US/Configuration
